CW's Supernatural

I am a woman obsessed with thrillers and horror movies. In my humble opinion, Supernatural gives the big screen a run for its money. I have seen more chiller moments in a 1 hour episode of Supernatural than in the last 3 new full length horror/thriller films I've seen combined.

And it doesn't hurt a bit that Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam ( Jared Padalecki) Winchester are walking, talking sex for the eyes. I am a little partial to Jensen Ackles, but that's just me. There's also a plentiful bevy of beauties and sexy vixens to spice things up for you guys out there. They may not be regulars, but we all love a little variety. There have been guest appearances by Amy Acker (Fred from "Angel"), Megalyn Echikunwoke (Isabelle Tyler on "The 4400") and Katie Cassidy (Black Christmas) just to name a few.

I also love to catch the little inside jokes the writers incorporate into the show, like the aliases the Winchester boys use to get information out of suspects and witnesses. Some of the aliases used on the show have been:

Ted Nugent

Agents Ford and Hamill (aka Harrison and Mark of Star Wars)

Dr. James Hetfield (singer for Metallica)

Nigel Tufnell (lead guitarist for fictional band Spinal Tap)

Father Simmons and Father Frehley (aka Gene and Ace from KISS

John Bonham (drummer for Led Zeppelin)

and most recently, Detectives Plant and Page (aka Robert and Jimmy from Led Zeppelin).

Dean and Sam Winchester were introduced to the supernatural as boys after their mother died in a bizarre fire. They boys and their father investigate and hunt demons searching ultimately for the one who killed their matriarch. The story lines are fresh and they make the unbelievable believable. So if that doesn't grab your attention, grab some popcorn, turn out the lights and catch an episode on The CW thursday nights at 8 pm central time. You'll be running out to buy seasons 1 and 2 to catch up on your new favorite show.
